I've made a change since first posting this information. I did have my motor setback 1 inch further but I found that as I got my boat in the mid to upper 50's that it was having some handling problems with that setup and going back to the std. mount made the problems go away!
This show the location of "Dead Weight". It has a wood base with a 1/4 stud up throught it that make changes fast and easy. Works for me!
Here's a shot of my radio box layout. Notice there is plenty of room for two 1/4 steering servo's a throttle and 3rd channel servo as well.
Be sure to tape off the transom access hole, it does have flotation but keep out as much water as possible.
